The Story
Stranded at a quaint country inn by a blinding snowstorm, five guests are strangers united by only the knowledge that one among them is a murderer. Could it be the newly married husband or wife that serve as innkeepers? Or the spinster who, for reasons known only to herself, has never married? Maybe the architect who seems oddly better suited to cooking than to building? Or the Army major, the strange little man whose car overturned in the snow, or the judge. To solve the mystery we are granted a policeman on skis to keep things moving downhill. No one is above suspicion except, as is often the case in situations like this, those who are already dead. The guests will not sleep tonight. Neither will you.
